Games are always fun at any party, so why not add plenty for a baby shower, right? If you have time for them, that is. I will gladly be helping with games at my dear friends first ever baby shower. I had a lot of research to do to find just the right games that weren't all baby, like the stinky diaper game we didn't want to play for instance. What better reason to celebrate than the gift of a new baby and family!

Our games will include the Baby Alphabet Game (A-Z), Who Can Make Mommy-To-Be's Baby, Gift Time Bingo, Never Say Baby, and the interactive Baby Name artsy game. For the A-Z baby game, you list all the letters of the alphabet and then have your guests write down baby products next to the letters. You can time them so you can get a winner with the most baby products filled in within the time frame. Five to ten minutes is good.

Baby Bingo will be played during gift opening so my friend "doesn't have to feel like she's on display" and so the ladies can win a prize during the gift opening time. You just need to number each gift and pass out the bingo cards with random numbers on them. Then your guests can fill out the cards as the mommy-to-be tells them what number is on each gift. You will then have a winner after the gifts have been opened.

The Never Say Baby is a great way to introduce this game and greet your guests since you give each guest their baby pin-necklace and let them know that who ever gets the most at the end of the shower wins. The goal is to not say baby at the baby shower and to take the guests pin-necklace if they say baby, earning you more pins. I am going to make necklaces out of the pins so they don't poke any one's clothes. Plus they will look nice.

Who Can Make Mommy’s Baby is a new and very popular game where you have your guests get into groups of about 3-5 and then give them baby magazines, scissors and glue and tell them to make the baby they feel will look most like mommy and daddy. You can time this event if you wish, or just let the creativity and time flow. The group's picture and art work that's chosen by mommy will win. You will need a group gift for this one. This is another game that is great to make a collage or scrap book with for the mommy in honor.

Artsy Baby Name Group game isn't necessarily a game, it is more of a gift. You will want your guests in groups of 3-5 depending on the amount of baby magazines you have. You will want at least 3-5 baby magazines for each group. It is a cute way to bless the parents and baby with little blessings, sayings or words that go with the letters of baby's name. You can have decorated letters already on sheets of paper for baby's name that the guests can write on or you can have the guests decorate and make the baby name outline themselves.

We will be doing this one for baby Noah and will write his name: N....O....A....H.... and put cute blessings for him at each letter. This one is great for guest interaction and connection as well as providing a sweet keepsake for the parents and baby-to-be. This was done for me at my shower and the hostesses made me a beautiful book for my dear little angel and the sweet artwork, words, and blessings for my daughter were and still are precious to me. I am thankful for the thought that went in to her Baby Name cards and sweet keepsake book. The guests also had a great time collaborating and decorating together.

It was fun doing my research for baby shower games, baby shower gifts and baby shower trends. I loved to see the refreshing changes in the baby shower games and decor. I have several other free baby shower games that I would love to share if needed by anyone. Please comment or connect here if you would like more baby shower games. There are so many that are really fun.

I'm excited for my friend's shower and know she will be blessed with all the baby gifts, handmade baby blankets, personalized baby clothes, friends and family. Not to mention good fellowhship.
