Mommy & Baby Devotion-Never Give Up

happy child srunsLet's run the race and never give up. Have you ever run a relay race? They can be very trying when someone on your team drops the baton, you can't seem to get to your next pass, or your team mate hits the lane while swimming backstroke, so you get disqualified. Thankfully God will never drop the baton or leave us hanging. I believe He would rather qualify us than disqualify us.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us" (Hebrews 12:1). Another encouragement to run the race is in 1 Corinthians 9:24, which says: "Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win."

Application: Let's take a look at what may be in the way of our feet here. What is keeping you from running the race in the way God has planned for you? Where do you want to go on your race and journey with God? Do you feel qualified or disqualified? Are you dropping the baton, hitting the lanes or too slow and complacent? God wants to be your source for all things and is capable of freeing you from believing you cannot run and win the race of life. Go for it and take back that power of believing in yourself; that great God confidence. Show your kiddos the power of prayer as you kneel before the Lord and seek Him for your game plans.

Prayer: Thank you Jesus that you are hope and love and that you are here for us and love us even when we are distant and confused. Especially in the tough times, you are calling us near. You went after that one loner sheep when the other ninety-nine were right beside you. Teach us to not go astray and to look to you always that we may run the race and not give up, that we know the game plan and rules, that our children can follow the path and win also. Be glorified in us today oh God.

Fun Free Christian games to enjoy too. Let me know what you think ladies. Your kiddos may enjoy them too. I haven't really tried them but they look fun and are free. Be excellent, baby.
