Psalm 16:5-6 "Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance." What a beautiful gift God has given us; life, security, provision, delight and inheritance... We can rest in Him knowing that all good things come from Him and that He is sure to provide our portion and our cup.
Reflection: So, no worries as we go into the unknown, this weekend and our future. He tells us not to worry for each day has enough worry for itself. He even takes care of the animals and how much more does he say He loves us? Greatly, right? I hope this week of reflection and devotion upon the peace of God will help us to stand firm and patient during the storms of life; that we may have His joy and that He will have our trust even when we don't have His answers.
Prayer: Lord, you are Holy and beautiful. Thank you for our portion. Thank you for our testimony in the storms of life and in our every-days. Please give us all a blessed testimony for you that we may be able to share the peace that you have bestowed upon us and the love, hope and freedom that comes along with it. Help us to encourage one another in the process while giving you all the glory you so rightly deserve.
